Meyers, 34, of Vernonia was cited for criminal third-degree theft, criminal mischief and theft by receiving after she alleged- ly attempted to leave the store without paying for $28 in mer- chandise and attempted to return an item she’d taken off the shelf with an old receipt. • Theft of items from hotel room, 5:11 p.m. Feb. 17, Shilo Inn. Crys- tal Marie Fredin, 36, of Wichita, Kansas, was cited for criminal second-degree theft. • Shoplifting, midnight Feb. 18, Walmart. Alaina L. Burns, 29, of Astoria was cited for crimi- nal third-degree theft after she allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for $40 in makeup and household items. • Identity theft and fraudulent use of credit card, 12:18 p.m. Feb. 19, 1200 block Southwest Ridge Road. A man who forgot his wallet at an acquaintance’s home found a $100 fraudulent pur- chase made with his credit card. • Shoplifting, 1:28 p.m. Feb. 21, Fred Meyer. Natalie N. Leissler, 24, of Portland was cited for second-degree theft and criminal trespassing after she allegedly at- tempted to leave the store with- out paying for $374 in makeup. • Burglary, 3:48 p.m. Feb. 21, 500 block Southwest First Place. Someone entered a garage and stole more than $3,000 in secu- rity cameras, tools and ammu- nition. • Shoplifting, 8:45 p.m. Feb. 23, Walmart. Megan L. Wright, 38, of Shelton, Wash., was arrested on suspicion of attempting to leave the store without paying for $69 in clothes and merchan- dise. • Shoplifting, 6:52 p.m. Feb. 24, Walmart. Shendell J. Rodriguez, 25, of Seaside was arrested on suspicion of third-degree theft and criminal trespassing after she attempted to leave the store without paying for $9 in mer- chandise. She’d previously been trespassed from the store. • Shoplifting, 11:43 p.m. Feb. 24, Walmart. Karen Michelle White, 28, of Long Beach, Wash., was arrested on suspicion of second-degree theft after she attempted to leave the store without paying for $319 in pet and electronics items. • Vehicle burglary, 1:29 a.m. Feb. 26, 1000 block South Main Avenue. Someone caused $300 damage by spray-painting the walls and a stall. • Computer scam, 11:34 a.m. Feb. 19, 800 block Southwest Jade Ave. Victim received an email from someone who knew her former password and stating she had a virus on her computer. Beau D.
