White, 18, of Astoria was arrested for second-degree theft after she allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for $137 in merchandise. • Stolen license plates, 8:11 p.m. Sept. 30, Fred Meyer parking lot. • Shoplifting, 4:30 p.m. Oct. 1, Walmart. Thai D. Clappe, 36, with no known address, was arrested on suspicion of shop- lifting, criminal mischief and providing false information to an officer after he allegedly at- tempted to leave the store with- out paying for $23 in food and merchandise. He was booked at Clatsop County Jail. • Stolen items found, 1:39 p.m. Oct. 4, Southwest Ninth Street and Ridge Road. A weed eat- er and kayak stolen from Fort Stevens State Park were found in the bushes. • Theft and damage, 1:44 p.m. Oct. 4, Ocean View Cemetery. Gasoline was siphoned from a work truck and the maintenance building damaged. • Shoplifting, 6:52 p.m. Oct. 4, Walmart. Christine J. Krenik, 29, of Olympia, Wash., was arrested and released on suspi- cion of second-degree theft and third-degree criminal mischief. • Shoplifting, 9:56 a.m. Oct. 5, Walmart. Ashley Elizabeth Nolan, 18, and Jessica Geraldine Wood, 40, both of Seaside, were arrested for third-degree theft after they allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for $34 in merchandise. • Shoplifting, 2:40 p.m. Oct. 7, Walmart. Jacob G. Penrod, 20, of Centralia, Wash., was arrested for third-degree theft after he allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for $35 in merchandise. s uspiCious CirCumstanCes / disturBanCes • Disturbance, 3:15 p.m. Sept. 26, 800 block Pacific Drive, Hammond. A homeowner got into a verbal fight with a neigh- bor’s visitor after he parked in front of his residence. As the fight escalated, the homeowner sprayed the visitor with a garden hose. Donald E. Ayles, 39, of Hammond was cited for criminal disorderly conduct. • Disturbance, 2:42 p.m. Sept. 28, Panda Express. Suzanne Kay Snodgrass, 49, with no known address was arrested on a Clat- sop County Sheriff’s warrant. • Disorderly conduct, 9:35 p.m. Sept. 28, Warrenton Community Library. A man was yelling and throwing things in the parking lot. Joshua Henry Marshall, 34, of Astoria was arrested on suspicion of criminal mischief. His blood-alcohol content was recorded at 0.14 percent. • Disturbance, 1:27 p.m. Sept. 29, 0-100 block Southwest Alder Avenue. Man reports his neigh- bor is threatening him. Parties separated. • Disturbance, 3:45 p.m. Sept. 29, Walmart. Intoxicated man was yelling and screaming. • Illegal camping, 9:44 p.m. Sept. 29, 1000 block Pacific Drive, Hammond. A man in a white cargo van agreed to move along. • Male subject exposing himself and trespassing, 3:20 p.m. Sept. 30, Walmart. When employees approached a man setting up a tent on the southeast corner of Walmart’s property, the man began yelling profanities and exposed himself. George D. Helling, 53, of Roseburg was arrested on suspicion of crimi- nal trespassing and disorderly conduct and released. He told officers he wanted to go to jail because he needed a shower. • Suspicious activity, 7:53 p.m. Sept. 29, Highway 105 near Lewis & Clark Bridge. Woman shooting photos of a dead elk in a ditch described herself as a road-kill photographer. • Domestic assault, 5:20 p.m. Oct. 1, Walmart. Ethan Davis Alderson, 22, of Gearhart was arrested on suspicion of physical assault on his girlfriend. • Transient camp set up behind business, 7:59 a.m. Oct. 4, Pre- marq Center. • Disorderly conduct, 7:05 p.m. Oct. 5, Walmart. Store authori- ties called police after a woman was throwing items and ap- peared to be under the influence. Alisha Rae Lowenberg, 30, of Warrenton was arrested on sus- picion of possessing heroin and methamphetamine and booked at Clatsop County Jail. • Transient camp set up off Harbor Drive near Young’s Bay Plaza, 4:59 p.m. Oct. 7.
