Officers searching for a man wanted on a felony ar- rest warrant spotted him near Natural Grocers. He bolted and ran across Highway 101 and into heavy brush. Searchers even- tually found his hat and jacket, but Orion Shay Adamson, 43, of Warrenton could not be located. He now faces escape charges as t hefts and BurgLaries • Stolen cell phone, 1:53 p.m. June 27, Walmart. A man said he plugged in his cell phone near the music area and forgot it. When he returned a short time later, it was gone. • Shoplifting, 8:37 a.m. June 26, Walmart. Adam M.L. Smith, 35, of Seaside was cited for criminal second-degree theft and crim- inal mischief after he allegedly attempted to leave the store with a GoPro Camera. • Stolen wallet, 11:12 a.m. July 2, Home Depot. Customer left her wallet in a shopping cart and, when she returned, it was gone. • Vehicle prowl, 2 a.m. June 19, Walmart parking lot. Desirai S. Schehl, 27, of Seaside was cited for criminal forgery and unlaw- ful entry of a motor vehicle. Jones, 49, of Astoria was cited for criminal second-degree theft and criminal mischief after she allegedly left the store without paying for $145 in clothes, cat food and makeup. • Shoplifting, 9:41 p.m. July 8, Walmart. Keith A. A woman reported her 40-year-old daughter was re- fusing to leave the residence. A male who was with the daughter, Griffin Jay John, 39, of Newport, was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant out of Clatsop County. • Trespassing, 1:07 a.m. July 7, Warrenton Mini Mart. A man under the influence of alcohol and marijuana was asked to leave after hanging around the store for 2 ½ hours. • Woman sleeping on ground in parking lot, 7:36 a.m. July 7, Lum’s Auto Center. The 33-year- old Grants Pass woman refused to turn over the beer she par- tially drank. She was trespassed from the business. v ehiCLes • Hit and run, 1:20 p.m. June 28, Fred Meyer parking lot. • Speeding, 2 p.m. June 28, Ridge Road at soccer fields. Driver cited for going 63 in a 45 mph zone. • Rear-end collision, 4:30 p.m. June 29, South Main Avenue at Southwest 14th Place. One driver was cited for going 43 in a 35 mph zone and for following too closely. • Unsafe driving, 12:50 a.m. June 30, South Main Avenue at Ski- panon Drive. Cindy Rae Mullins, 34, of Chinook was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at booked at Clatsop County Jail, where her blood-alcohol level was recorded at 0.08 percent. • Vehicle into parked car, 8:39 a.m. June 30, Fred Meyer park- ing lot. • Vehicle into stop sign, 11:56 a.m. June 30, Southwest Third Street at Southwest Alder Ave- nue. • Three-vehicle unoccupied collision, 4:54 p.m. June 30, 200 block South Main Avenue. A vehicle with its engine running was parked at Supermart when it kicked into reverse, struck a curb and made a backward U-turn into a driveway, striking two parked cars. Continued on Page 6
