the Union County Fairgrounds.
The music starts at 1 p.m.
The free, public “Bend Not
Break” suicide awareness
concert will also include an
opener by magician/motivational
speaker Brad Barton.
Cassy Kellogg was the lo-
cal resident who saw Boyé on
social media and reached out
to see about him coming to La
Grande. To fund the concert, she
found an “angel” who donated
$50,000. Her husband, Don Kel-
logg, is raising another $15,000
to pay for Barton and the rest of
the event.
Exhibitors will have booths at
the concert to provide mental
health resources and the Kel-
loggs also are working with the
La Grande Lions Club to sell
hamburgers. The concert will
strive to follow all COVID-19
mandates, including masks and
social distancing.
Attendees are urged to bring
blankets and folding chairs to
the concert.
Boyé is a former member of
the European boy-band Awe-
some and of the Mormon Tab-
ernacle Choir. His professional
career has included recording
religious and Latter-day Saints
