ment Mechanic
Job Duties: Perform a wide va-
riety of maintenance, overhaul
and repair functions of gas and
diesel vehicles owned and op-
erated by Grant County. Inspect
diagnostic needs and make
minor and major modifications.
Fabricate special parts and
welds as required, including
acetylene, wire and electrode.
Welds should be fillet, hori-
zontal or vertical types; does
related work as required.
Screening Requirements:
High school education or equiv-
alency preferably supplemented
with additional training in auto-
motive and diesel mechanics.
Three years’ experience as a
mechanic or any satisfactory
combination of experience and
training which demonstrates the
knowledge, skills and ability to
perform the above described
duties.
Necessary Special Qualifica-
tions: Possess a valid Class-B
Oregon Commercial Driver’s
license, and the ability to obtain
an Oregon Class-A CDL within
6 months of employment, and
must be insurable under the
county’s liability insurance cov-
erage. Must pass a pre-employ-
ment drug test.
Hours & Days: 40 hours per
week – Monday to Thursday
Wages & Benefits: $21.78 per
hour with benefits

2019 Unclaimed Capital Credits
Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative (OTEC) hereby gives notice of
UNCLAIMED PAYMENTS OF CAPITAL CREDITS OWED TO THE
NAMED PERSONS ON RECORD. Such unclaimed capital credits
have been available to OTEC Members since December 31, 2015.
Pursuant to OTEC bylaws and policy, the names of OTEC Members
entitled to capital credit refunds – who have not yet claimed their
refunds – can be reviewed on the OTEC website at: www.otec.coop/
capital-credits
If you are an OTEC Member and current (or former) consumer of
OTEC, please check the OTEC website and list of Members who
have failed to claim capital credits owed.
Application for re-issuing funds owed may be made at your local
OTEC office or 4005 23rd Street, PO Box 226, Baker City, Oregon
97814. Unless those persons named, or their heirs claim payment
no later than January 1, 2020, the unclaimed funds will be forfeited
to the Cooperative or, where required, forwarded to the Department

will conduct a Public Hearing on August 22, 2109, beginning at 5:00
p.m. at the John Day Fire Station, 316 S Canyon Blvd, John Day,
Oregon on the following Flood Development matter:
1.) Public Hearing to address application FP-19-04, sub-
mitted by the Mt Vernon Grange to request a variance from the re-
quirements of the Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance. The proper-
ty is identified as tax lot 400, located at Township 13 South, Range
30 East, Section 27, W.M. located in Zone A - area of special flood
hazard and the mapped floodway.
Persons or parties interested or concerned with this subject matter
may appear in person before the Grant County Planning Commis-
sion on August 22, 2019, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the John Day
