GRANT COUNTY
4-H CAMP OPPORTUNITIES
The Grant/Harney County 4-H Camp
is held in July each year at the Lake
Creek Youth Camp located in Logan
Valley. The camp brings youth from
Grant and Harney Counties from 4th-
6th grade together for a week long
camping experience. The camp is
steeped with long traditions and lasting
friendships. The Teen Counselors along
with volunteers and Oregon State
University Extension staff are all from
Grant and Harney County.
TOP 10 REASONS TO SEND
YOUR CHILD TO A 4-H CAMP
1. It puts your child in a new environment that
allows them to fully be themselves.
2. Gives your Child the opportunity to make new
friends. Lifelong friends! To this day I am still
in touch with people that I met at CAMP!
3. Helps your child find their independence in a
safe healthy environment.
4. Camp encourages your child to develop
problem solving skills.
5. Gives your child opportunity to try new things!
6. Your child will learn to appreciate the
conveniences of home.
7. Make life long memories!
8. Your child will develop a network of mentors
and adults they can count on.
9. Allows your child to have a “test flight” and
spread their wings…with guidance.
10. Give yourself a much needed break!
Parenting is a tough job!
