MALHEUR NATIONAL FOREST
The monthly expenditures of the county which singly exceed
$500 for the previous month are posted monthly, for public
viewing, in the Court House lobby and at the County Library
by ORS 294.250.
The Wild Sale is located within T 20S R 31E Sections 23, 27,
and 34. The Forest Service will receive sealed bids in public
at Malheur National Forest, Supervisor’s Oice at 10:00 AM
local time on 06/29/2016 for an estimated volume of 10 CCF
of Ponderosa Pine and other coniferous species sawtimber
marked or otherwise designated for cutting. The Forest Ser-
vice reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Interested
parties may obtain a prospectus from the oice listed below.
A prospectus, bid form, and complete information concern-
ing the timber, the conditions of sale, and submission of bids
is available to the public from the Malheur National Forest,

Grant County is inviting bids from professional service
providers to supply the Grant County Fair Grounds with
a public address system at 411 NW Bridge Street John
Day, OR 97845. This system needs to cover the Pavilion,
Rodeo Grounds, Heritage Barn and outside areas on the
fairgrounds with controls in the Fair Oice in the Pavilion.
Must include drawings that show the needs on the electri-
cal-pipe/wire for low voltage and live voltage systems and
communication wires & permits to meet all applicable code
requirements. A copy of the appropriate speciications and
Bid Form are available at the Grant County Fair Oice. All

Dove Vegetation Management Environmental Assessment
30-Day Notice and Comment Period
The Malheur National Forest, Emigrant Creek Ranger District
is proposing to treat approximately 42,000 acres of forest-
ed stands in the project area to move them toward historic
ecosystem conditions with the use of commercial harvest,
non-commercial harvest, and prescribed burning activities.
Mile of open road in the subwatersheds would be reduced
by 6% in the Proposed Action, and 8% in Alternative 3 of
current levels in order to address resource issues and meet
Forest Plan road density standards. The Dove Project area
is 43,892 acres and is located within the Upper South Fork
John Day River watershed. The major drainages in the
project area are the Lonesome, Venator, and Corral Creeks,
and the Headwaters South Fork John Day River. Malheur
National Forest Supervisor Steve Beverlin is the Responsible
Oicial for this project.
The environmental assessment (EA) can be accessed on
