We have been busy designing and printing a monthly event flyer that we can distribute to various businesses around the county, to be available as hand outs. Our hope is that this will draw attention to the many activities that are scheduled in Grant County and help everyone when coordinating their events. If you want to be included, call the Chamber office at 541-575-0547. In April, Travel Oregon will be bringing a group of 25 tour operators and guides on an Oregon Road Rally. This group represents Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, China, France and AU/ NZ. They will be visiting Eastern Oregon so our plan is to interact with them and present them with souvenirs and information about all that Grant County has to offer. We have also been in contact with TESLA Motors and received information about setting up an electric charging station at the Chamber office. This might add a link between Bend and Baker and other areas and could attract a few visitors to our area. Our guest speaker this month will be Mark Webb, who will be sharing a bit of history about the Blue Mountain Forest Partners and their approach to creating a positive economic impact for our area and communities. We hope to see all of you at The Outpost on Thursday, Mar. 17 at noon. You might even win a door prize. JOHN DAY AUTO NAPA 721 W.
