He highlighted freshman Kristina Humphreys. “She showed a lot of heart, playing start to ¿nish,” he said. He said the team did well on rebounding, but had a hard time with shots falling. At the half, the Mustangs were up 24-15, and although the Lady Tigers played with intensity in the third quarter, they were outshot 15-10, trail- ing 25-39. Tiger Hannah Flower said she’d been among those out with illness, but returned to play in Friday’s game. She said she was proud of the team, especially the “tal- ented freshmen.” She’s hopeful they will sur- prise teams at the Feb. 18-20 district tournament. “You can lose in league, but come back at the district tour- nament, and that’s what we hope to do,” she said. The Lady Tigers took a 24- 51 loss on the road last Satur- day to the Crane Mustangs. Currently, the Crane girls rank No. 1 in the High Desert League, followed by Adrian and Jordan Valley.
