A shland , Or, Dec. 31.-Bob Wilcox, a boy 18 or 19 years old, was shot and seriously wounded hv Dan Conwell,at Harvey’s farm -i,seven miles no. th of here, last c evening, Conwell has been arrested and wd| have a prei.ninary examination Tuesday. Both parties worked at Harvey’s ranch, as also dWj Con well’s wife. The report is that Wilcox, either insulted or quarrel- *d with Mrs. Conwell, and Conwell slapped him for it, when the bo.v pulled a revolver and shot through Conweil’s hat. The latter fired four or five shote in return, one of the shots taking effect in Wilcox’» ahdemen.
