INVITATION FOR BIDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN bids
will be accepted via ELECTRON-
ICALLY by Chad Franke, Pro-
gram Manager, HMK Company
until 2:00 PM Local Time, June 1,
2022, at which time and place
bids will be closed. A public bid
opening will be held via a Teams
Meeting at 2:01PM on June 1,
2022. A link to the meeting will be
emailed to those firms that are
listed on the Pre-Bid Meeting
sign-in sheet prior to the time of
bid.
The scope of work will consist of
disconnect and removal of two
existing gas cast iron boilers with
2 central heating water pumps
and associated piping within the
boiler room for replacement with
new heating water boiler plant.
The existing common boiler flue
will be replaced with individual
boiler stacks through the roof and
will require patching of the exist-
ing ceiling/roof opening.

The scope will include disconnect
and removal of existing gas do-
mestic water boilers with associ-
ated 2 recirculating water pumps
and housekeeping pad. Existing
common flue with blower through
roof will be removed. The
ceiling/roof patching will be re-
quired. The new domestic water
plant will include three gas high
efficiency condensing water
heaters with 2 recirculating water
pumps and central thermostatic
mixing valve.
Both systems will require new
housekeeping pads, for each
boiler and one for domestic water
heaters.
Electrical scope will include re-
placement of existing motor con-
trol center MCC-4 with new panel
and circuit breaker in the boiler
room and low voltage scope to re-
connect new equipment to exist-
ing control panel.
The following deadlines and re-
strictions are applicable to the
project: Project start date June
20, 2022. Contract must meet the
following Substantial Completion
dates:
• Water Heaters installed
and fully operational by
September 10, 2022.
• All Other work shall meet
a Substantial Completion
of October 1, 2022.
A virtual MANDATORY Pre-Bid
Meeting will be held at 1:00 pm
on May 20, 2022, via Teams
Meeting. Please email Stephen

link to the meeting. Representa-
tives of the Contractors will meet
with the Owner and Project Man-
ager for review of the project
specifications. Site visits can be
scheduled on request by contact-
ing Chad Franke, Program Man-
ager.
All bids must be submitted on the
proposal forms furnished to the
bidders. Each bid proposal shall
be submitted ELECTRONI-
CALLY, and the subject line as
follows: “REDMOND SCHOOL
DISTRICT – RE-BID MECHANI-
CAL UPGRADE PROJECT” and
show the name and business ad-
dress of the bidder. Each bid
must be accompanied by an un-
conditional cashier’s check, certi-
fied check, or surety bond of the
bidder in the amount of ten per-
cent (10%). Unsuccessful bidders
will have their security refunded
to them when the contract has
been awarded.

upon the bid specifications must

ceived at least FIVE (5) working
days before the bid closing date.

Form may result in bid rejection.
The District reserves the right to
reject any or all bids, to waive for-
malities, and to postpone the
award of the contract for thirty
(30) days. All bids and all prices
quoted in bids shall be firm for a
period of thirty (30) days after the
bid closing date.
