Tremendous Energy But the energy of the Nilons, Bob, Jimmy and Jack, the lat ter listed as Liston's "advisor," is enough even to bewilder gas eous Cassius. The Nilons, It must be admit ted, have done wonders since four of them came out of serv ice in 1945, pooled $100 and started a hot dog stand at a construction job. The fourth brother, Joe, who was a Mer chant Mariner alone with Jim, since has become a Jesuit priest. "We had agreed to take a crack at the concession business before I went Into the Army for five and one-half years and Jack went Into the Navy," says Bob, who played hockey at Clarkson Tech, tor the U.S. amateur team In the world championships and for Ching Johnson with Minneapolis of the American Association. "But it seemed like every night was New Year's Eve for Irishmen while we were in serv ice and we all came home broke," he added. "So we put our money together, a sum of $100, and opened ahot dog stand at a construction job. We grossed $185 the first day and, well. It's developed." Developed, it might be-added, through hard work. And big. They have catered the Army Navy game for 14 years and quadrupled the gross on the concessions. They've had a Finger Lakes track near Roch ester, N.Y., for two years; cater Baltimore's Civic Center, Utica Memorial Auditorium, college and pro football and numerous industrial plants. St. tests SF Dons tonight By United Press International The tall Oklahoma State bas ketball team tonight could sup ply the answer to just how good the University of San Francisco squad is this year. The Dons are everybody's pick to win the West Coast Ath letic Conference, but some ex perts feel that they have enough stuff to return to the Olympian heights of the mid 1950s when they won the na tional title twice. They point to Ollie Johnson, considered the Dons' best cen ter since Bill Russell, and huge Dave Lee, a terror on the boards. The backcourt is an chored by soph Russ Gumina, one of the smoothest players ever to come out of the San Francisco high school league. The Dons open a rugged three-game road trip tonight against Oklahoma State, a team much taller than USF. Games against Loyola of New Orleans and Miami of Florida follow Saturday and Tuesday in a trio of tough tests for the am bitious Dons. NHL Standings By United Press International -W. L.T.
