The 72-hoIo event on the 6,663 yard, par-71 Dalmahoy course should provide Ragan and Max well with a chance to regain some of the prestige they lost in Wednesday's "Little Ryder Cup" matches on the same links. Maxwell, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Ragan, who plays out of Or lando, Fla., suffered bad beatings as a team of British pros upset a makeshift U.S. squad by a total of six holes. Neil Coles, a chunky English man who already has been named to the British Ryder Cup team, v. Ill meet the U.S. at Atlanta next month, overpowered Ragan, 7-up. Scotland's Eric Brown turned back Maxwell, 4-up.
