Sue Langworthy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Langwor thy of 3W Hunter Place and Ter ri Todd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Gerald Todd, 299 E. 10th Street were taken to Salem by the Lang worthys yesterday for the week's luuveiiuon. While attending Girls' State which is sponsored by the Ameri can Legion Auxiliary, the girls will constitute a mythical state tor one week. They will assume I me amies or citizens by electing ! officials and setting up their own Jcity, county and state govern- ments. Two girls will be selected to attend Girls' Nation in Wash ington, D.C. Troubador, the 16 months old mascot of the Redmond Kiwanis Club, made the host shnuHncr r ! his career as he swept top honors l over some 180 other dogs of all breeds that competed in the show. After winning the Basset Hound Classes. Troubador, shown by his owner, Helen Weeks, took the hound group to win a place in the finals. The victory at Cottace Grove added three trophies and a paw- tul of ribbons to Troubador s growing collection. Class of 1913 holds reunion Two former Central Oiwnn. ians, Mrs. Robert B. Moore, now I of Portland, and Walter S. Hodge, who for a number of years was stationed in Redmond as Oregon State Highway Department divi sion maintenance engineer, were represented in the half century class honored at the University of Oregon alumni reunion in Eugene over the weekend. Both were members nf the cl of 1913, headed at the reunion by Ralph Cake, Portland, who spent part of his boyhood in the Bend area. Another member of the half. century class, which marched in to the reunion hall in cans and gowns, was Pat Cecil of Burns, a cattleman well known in this area.
