Brouck, government appraiser for farm -loans, with headquartors in Spokane, has been in tho county dur ing ho past week checking up on the farms where application has been made for loans under tho govern ment act. IL A. Ward Honored. R. A. Ward, county agricultural aent, has been honored by being elected ai ember of tho International Farm ing congress, which meets at Kansas City, Missouri, In October. The rec ognition came as a reward for Mr. Ward's efforts and success In the war on rabbits and sage rats in Cen tral Oregon. Former Sister Girl Married. A quiet and pretty wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. nnd Mrs. John M. Allen, north of Cres well, Ore., June 23, 1918, at 3 o'clock, 'when their daughter, 4. Mat tie, was united In marriage to Ev erett L. McKay, son of Mr. and Mrs. C, H. McKay, also of Creswell. Rev. J. S. Green of the M. E. church offi ciated, and only members of tho Im mediate families wero present. Miss Allen was for a number of years a resident of Sisters and is well known in the county.
