received copies of a petition from tho
Oregon desert land board, asking for
passage of an act extending for 10
years the Carey land segregations of
tho Central Oregon Irrigation com
pany, on the ground that large de
velopment has been accomplished and
conditions are now unfavorable to
fast settlement of tho lands.
