o f being laughed at by other towns
because they had better streets.
The same Is true with me, but I
would rather endure that a year or
two Aore than have the long, hard
laugh which grates so severely after
you have bought a gold brick, given
your note for it and are trying to
pay for it by the sweat of your
brow.
'
Are we in favor of paving? Yea,
but not now. When? As soon as
the people and business in general
resume a settled and normal condi­
tion. and our sewer and water sys­
tems are placed in a permanent and
adequate condition.
