The Dundee Women’s Club will give a chicken supper at Com munity Hall on Saturday even ing of this week. Besides tbe chicken and all »he good things that go with it the supper com mittee will have on hand various substitutes for white bread which have been prepared from both published and original recepes. These receipes will be on sale for the patriotically inclined patrons who have not yet foond a satis factory way to help our nation jiywheat conservation. The entertainment to be given in tbe evening will be free to the supper patrons. * Popcorn and popcorn candy will be sold for the benefit of the local Red Cross. Misses Christopher and Young have returned home from Port land where they have been spend ing several weeks disposing of their city property. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Olmsted are at home from their wedding trip. They were marred in Des Moines, Iowa, on November sev enteenth and have been touring and visiting in California. Mrs. L. J. Eddens spent Tues day in Portland. An interesting meeting of the Dundee Women’s Club was held last Thursday. Arrangements for the chicken supper were made and a pleasing program enjoyed. Mrs. Frank T. Keyes was hostess for the day. The regular monthly business meeting of the local Red Cross was well attended last Friday. After the business meeting T. A. Harper gave a short talk on Rus sia ami ber part in tbe war. It is planned to have a fifteen min ute talk by some one at each monthly meeting. Mrs. E. J. Robison of Mohler, Oregon, has been a guest of her brother, Roe R. Robison. S. Minchin had the misfortune to lose a ten dollar bill on Mon day. Imagine bis pleasure when tbe postmaster handed it to him. Ralph Bennett found the bill on the floor o f tbe post office and gave it to Mr. Terry.
