All invited. * PUBLIC SCHOOLS CLOSE Sixty Pupils Complete Eighth Grade and Nineteen Gradu ate From High School. The Newberg public schools closed last Friday after complet ing a very successful year. The attendance, which was consider ably larger than last year, main tained a high average to the end of the term. The scholarship re quirements for promotion have been raised in harmotav with the policy of the school that thor oughness is more important than passing to the next grade. Sixty-six pupils completed the eighth grade examination and nineteen graduated f r o m t h e High School. The enrollment in the High School has been almost one-third larger than last year, and this year’s class is fifty per cent larger than any former class.
