N EW BERG G R APH IC It is a very slow town these days th a t don’t maintain a lyce- um course, but* it m ust be re membered th at a high priced course, such as is being offered jo Newberg this season, m ust have liberal patronage on the p art .o f those who appreciate & Bennett Hdw. We have had enough o f this sort of thing in the p ast and are done w ith saloons in Yamhill county for al time. And while it m ay not be next year th e tim e is coming when the whole state will look on the saloon business in the sam e way. *• Many boys and young men about Newberg, in th eir haste to earn some money, stay out of school and accept jobs a t ordi nary wages, seemingly forgetful of the fact th a t the demand is grow ing every day for men who take, th e tim e to educate and pre pare them selves for positions th a t require skilled labor, and where th e salaries are more than double th a t of th e ordinary laborer.
