Jennings in Washington county, a mile and a half east ot Gaston and twelve miles northwest o f New berg, occurred the death of Rob ert M. W ood in some mysterious manner at an early hour on last Monday morning, and the case is a very puzzling one to the offi cials who are making an investi gation o f it. According to Jennings, f o r whom W ood was working, he and Wood arose about the same hour that morning. Wood went to the barn to do the milking, while Jennings, whose wife is an invalid, remained to prepare the breakfast.
