The social event of the season occurred
on Thursday evening, April 10th at the
M isonic hall, when the young gentle­
men of the M. S. B. (we suggest “ Many
Sorrowful Bachelors” ) entertained their
lady friends at a (lower party.
The color scheme of the decorations
was iu pink and white throughout, and
before euteriug the reception room each
lady was presented with a boquet of
carnations in these colors, mingled
with sinPax. The reception room was
most tastefully decorated in palms, smi-
lax ami ivy, which with the subdued
light gave a most pleasing effect. After
the guests had all arrived each couple
was presented with a “ seed catalogue”
for 1902 which proved to lie a very
unique featuro of the entertainment.
This was followed by a lively game of
“ bean bags” in which a good deal of
skill was manifested, and by other games
which were greatly enjoyed by all.
At ten o’clock the curtains which had
divided the reception room from the
banquet hall, were drawn, disclosing a
most artistically arranged table, iu which
the color scheme of the evening was
beautifully curried out. Streamers were
hung from the chandelier to the table
ending in a basket of carnations.

for each guest, and the following menu

detail.
