decision was announced as in favor of
Mr. Coulson, w ith Lucy Gauso a very
close second. Some discrepancies in
th e footings were discovered n e x t
m orning how ever, w hich placed Miss
G ause a t least even w ith Coulson. As
th e best way out of th e difficulty the
oratorical association m et an d decided
th a t both should g o o n th e p rim ary ,
which decision will make a lively con­
test next tim e between these two alone
for the honor of sophomore orator. The
music for the evening was furnished by
Professors K an tn er and Kelsey in an

The Freeman contest, held Saturday
night, made the best showing of all in
