They will piohably be gone three or four weeks. K. H . Tyson, of Middleton, and a gen tleman named Brooks from Goldendale, Washington, passed through town last Monday. Mr. Brooks is a member of the Washington n.i itia and bad some ex- perience with the strikers at Tacoma. The rattle of the walk in front of the Newberg House reminds us of days long gone by when sim i'ar nonet were made by the dogs trotting over our father's porches at the old homestead. A few nails would improve the walk and stop the reminder of pleasant days. W e understand that a gentleman named Seveitzer from Oregon City and another from St. Helens who make a bus iness of putting in water works for cities were in Newberg last Saturday taking a look at our surroundings.
