The comparative statement of the re­
ceipts and expenditures of the United
States, issued by the treasury depart­
ment reoently, shows that for the month
of December, 1900, the total receipts
were $46.846,508, an increase as oom-
pared with December, 1899, of <87,404.
The receipts from the several source* of
revenue are given as follows: Customs,
918,490,634; decrease, $624,950.
In­
ternal revenue, $25,200,693; inorease,
$185,119. Miscellaneous, $3,089,179; la-
crease, $536,584.
