Medford, Sept. 30.—The shipping of early varieties of pears from this point is practically ended for thio season. Through the month a carload a day was the average from Medford alone. Cap tain Voorhiea sent 13 carloads to distant markets from hie own orchard. There was no difficulty in disposingoi the frnft, as it was of excellent grade. The first of the prune crop is now being handled, and several foreign buyers are in the valley, offering better prices than usual for the new crop, which is of ^inequality.
