R J. Dean, whom we mentioned
as having been thrown from a horse
and seriously hurt in our last issue,
passed away at one o’clock T h u rs­
day morning from internal injuries.
The facts were, intbe main as stated
more than the latter complication
had not been noticed. From aclose
examination of the grounds wnere
the acoident happened it was found
the horse stumbled in a large chuck-
hole filled with dust, which is ju st
opposite the telephone pole against
which it is evident both horse and
rider went with great force.
The deceased was a son of the
late Murphy Dean who several
yeaas ago purchased the Moomaw
dairy farm near Norway, on which
Mr. Dean has lived for about five
years. He leaves a wife and two
small children beside a brother and
two sisters to mourn his sad aud
untim ely death.
The body was brought back from
the Bay on Friday m orning and in­
term ent took place that day in the
Norway cemetery.
