Guild Members Model Fashions A t Style Show O ne of th e highlights of the social y ear for St. C ecilia’s Guild was th e ir outstanding an d d e- lightful style show held T h u rsd ay afternoon at St. Jam es G uild hall. M any “oh’s” and "a h ’s” w ere m urm ured by those atten d in g as m em bers of th e G uild gracefully modeled the fashions fo r la te pring and sum m er. Styles fea t- u ed w ere play clothes, cottons, ifternoon dresses, sem i-form als and form als. A nother outstanding event of th e afternoon w as th e a rt ex h ib it of P atterso n C haney’s w ork w hich was held in connection w ith th e show. B eautiful w ater colors of C alifornia missions and etchings of horses and ships w ere displayed. And, of special interest, w as the exceptional w ater color of a forest he painted w hen only seven. W alter R. N aff returned Tuesday from M ilwaukie w here he attended a V ictory Rally Mon- day. This m eeting was th e culmina tion ef an E vangelistic emphasis by Oregon C hristian churches which began last Ja n u a ry and the 113 churches th a t reported at the m eeting recorded a total of 3, 639 additions to the denom ination since th e first of th e year.
