Because a couple of thoughtless
drivers threw a newspaper out of
th e ir car yesterday, Miss G ilbert,
our school principal, nearly had a
bad accident.
She was follow ing them on the
h ig hw ay and* the paper flattened
o ver her windshield, so she couldn't
see. In a m inute her little coupe
w as across the line— rig h t in the
path o f an oncoming tra ile r-tru c k .

The parties were recognized and
soon as I heard about i t I ran over

aren’t crim inals. Just careleaa. like
a lot of uh seem to be getting these
days, judging from the trash you
see along roadsides. From where I
sit. this near accident may be the
lesson we need to make us slop lit­
tering our roads— and start show­
ing a little tolerant consideration
