Public Records Sheriffs Office Robert Vincent O’Neill, Martin Robert Franklin and Bobby Gene Brooks were committed to jail January 4, being A. W. O. L. They were released Jan. 5 to Parole Of ficer W. L. O’Neill. Vance D. Humphreys was com mitted to jail Jan. 7 on charge of revocation of conditional pardon. Norman Walter Jacobson was committed to jail January 8, charged with having no operator’s license. • • Divorces Filed one year in the penitentiary. The defendant was released on proba tion on condition that he violate no law and that .he conduct him self as a law-abiding citizBna and that he make good the $25.00 check through the district attor ney’s office within thirty days. • • M arriage Licenses Obtaining marriage licenses this week were Arnold Tavor Al bertson, Bandon, and Elizabeth Anne Luhd, Bandon; William Sidney Walker, Lane county, and Carol Jane Handelin, Coos county. • • Filing suits for divorce this Divorces Granted week were Mabel Cotton vs. Granted divorces during the James R. Vancouver, Wash., Dec. 31, 1943. • • Circuit Court Charles W. Anderson was sen tenced to five years in the peni tentiary at a hearing January 11. The charge was knowingly utter ing and publishing a forged bank check. Donnie R. Patterson, guilty of obtaining money under false pre tenses, was given a sentence of SUIT IN EQUITY i. A . Elrod on Jan. 6 filed suit against Maxine H. Johnson, George R. Johnson and Effie H. Johnson, asking that the court de cree that the conveyance of cer tain real property by George R. Johnson and Effie H. Johnson to Maxine H. Johnson be adjudged fradulent and void. In December, 1948, a judgment against the defendant, George R. Johnson, for the sum of $2,000.00 was granted the plaintiff, I. A. Elrod, and an execution was is sued against the personal and real property of the defendant. • • SUIT IN EQUITY Vera Williams on Jan. 5 filed suit against Mrs. Edgar Tribble, administratrix of the estate of the late Pearl F. Chalker, and Pearl Kootz, administratrix of the estate of Gussie Ingram, deceased; James Harlow Ingram, Archie Ingram and Saphrona Ingram Burright, claiming she is the rightful heir of the late Pearl F. Chalker, as the result of a con tract made by the late Mrs. Chalker and the plaintiff on No vember 24, 1945. • • NATURALIZATION HEARING At a naturalization hearing held January 6, the following appli cants were admitted to citizen ship: John J.
