Reduce state income taxes by restoring the higher exemptions In effect prior to the 1047 leg islative session. I . Repeal the state withholding tax. J. Amend the state income tax to provide deductions for unusual medical expenses and for mod erate life insurance premiums up to $254.04 a year. 4. Profits from the Liquor Com mission should go into the state's general fund. 5. Reaffirm respect for the se curity of public trust funds to preserve the heritage of public lands that help sustain our edu cational system. «. Develop Oregon’s post-war highways on a pay-as-you-go basis and as rapidly as possible. 7. Coordinate the various state agencies working for the conser vation of natural resources and wildlife. a. Lumber com pany m ill and on the second day at the city hall from 11 a. m. to 7 p. m. As the x-ray service w ill be open to the general public for only one day it is suggested that advance prepara tion be made to enable those wishing to take advantage of the service to do so within the specified hours. Mr. Ras- mussen has the freight line between Sitkum and M yrtle Point. • Charlene M ullin is out of school this week, being the latest victim of chicken pox. • Mrs. Ivan Laird returned home from Portland on Wednesday of last week, Her friends w ill be glad to know that she is feeling better. Gall Bunch and daughters, Durene and Nancy, of Portland, were week end visitors at the home of Gail’s parents, M r. and Mrs. Oscar Bunch of Dora. Mrs. Bunch could not ac company the fam ily because her health would not permit it at this time. e Mr. and Mrs. Lee Bennett stopped by to visit Mrs. Bennett’s parents, M r. and Mrs. Harold Shepherd of Dora, over the week-end They were returning home after a trip to San Francisco. • Rev W. Goddard, principal of Jack sonville high school for the past five years, has taken the position of prin cipal of the Myrtle Point union high school vacated this spring by Graydon Crews who w ill go to Oregon State . college to join the school of science ' staff.
