better, Mr. Anglin said today. She
was seriously ill in the Falk hospital
last week, but is now well on the way
to recovery.

ducks on the lakes and marshes in the
Coquille valley, Howard Detlefsen
said today. “Just as soon as the duck
season closed, the ducks started com
ing in,” the Coquille Valley dairyman
said.

Portland Reports

The regular monthly meeting of the
Coos-Curry Pioneer and Historical
association was held in the museum,
in Coquille, on Saturday, November
6th. J. Albert Matson, presided at
the business session which followed
the luncheon.
Minutes of previous meetings and
reports of committees were heft'd.
Mr. Matson and Emil R. Peterson
then reported on the meeting in Port
land of the Oregon Historical society,
which they had attended recently.
Local friends w ill be happy to learn
that President J. Albert Matson was
appointed a director of the Oregon
Historical society fo r' a five-year
term.
There will be no December meet
ing. President Matson hopes to have
an outside speaker at the next meet
ing on January 10th
