Mrs. Howard Detlefsen Hostess To Shower Given In Honor of Miss Mattoon Miss Evelyn Mattoon was the in spiration for a real surprise bridal shower at the home of Mrs. Howard Detlefsen Sunday evening. Mrs. Marion Clayton and Mrs. Ray Detlef sen were co-hostesses. The table was unusually attractive, centered with a miniature bride and groom, flanked by tapers whose ribbons led to the many packages. From the chandelier were suspended bells over the centerpiece. | Following the opening of the many lovely gifts, ice cream and cake were served. Between 75 and 80 attended the meeting of Beulah Chapter, No. 8, O.E.S.. last Thursday evening when the Masons were special guests of the Chapter. George Sherwood, W. M. of Chadwick Lodge, No. 68, and R. H. Mast, who celebrated his 88th birth day Nov. 14th, were escorted to the East, given a special welcome and presented with boutonnieres. The members voted to dispense with the meeting Nov. 28th due to Thanksgiving. The next meeting, Dec. 14th. will be the annual elec tion which will be preceded by a potluck dinner. All members were * asked to bring one jar of jam or jelly to the meeting Dec. 14th, which will be sent to the Masonic Home as Christinas gifts.
