Mr. and Mrs. Ellis and Nadine plan to move to Turner, Ore., within a few weeks. Next Friday will complete the first semester of the school year, and the pupils will be dismissed at noon. A surprise birthday party was giv- en Nancy Sonneland last Tuesday evening, Jan. 3, by her mother, Mrs. Louis Sonneland, at her home. Cards and dancing were enjoyed by the fol lowing: Virginia DeHart, Maxine Engels, Eleanor Skinner, Millicent Dow and the honor guest. The Ladies Aid held a regular meet ing at the Fairview church last Thurs day afternoon. During the business meeting an election was held with the following results: Mrs. Sophia Totten, president; Mrs. Pamelia Hatcher, vice president, and Mrs. Lena Moore, secretary-treasurer.
