This will be done by the evangelist, Wal ter. Fiscus, at the Friday night ser vice. The meeting is now in the second week and will continue through all of next week. Much in terest is being shown and the house Is well filled at each service. Ser vices are held each night except Sat urday, starting promptly at 7:30 and closing before nine- o’clock. Miss Hufford, who once attended the Riverton grade school, teaches home economics, English, health, girl’s athletics and has charge of the paper, annual, li brary, and the Girls’ League. Miss Gilman teaches shorthand, American hostory, typing and has charge of the office and supplies, and the Girls’ League, Both teachers graduated from the Coquille high school and from the University of Oregon last spring, Miss Gilman also attended Oregon Normal school for two years. A. Fair The annual county fair at Myrtle Point this week shows as usual the local F. F. A. entries in the livestock, poultry, swine exhibits and project books. The entries are not as large as those of last year. —Quentin Church Fire Department Called Late in the afternoon of September 14, 1937, firp broke out on the old Watson place, Just below the school house. Mr. Rycraft, F. F. A. instruc tor, called the boys together and they ran to the fire. The boys had the fire entirely under control by the time the Coquille fire department reached the scene. —M. M.
