In tin* wildest night ever seen at
the Community Building last Friday,
Jack Lipscomb, the Indiana beast,
won a fall from Don Sugai, knocked
Referee Elliott down, then cruelly
Jumped on his back, and was nearly
mobbed by enraged fans.
It was an evening of whopping
free-for-alls with each match rougher
and tougher than the one before.
Lipscomb annexed the first fall in
eleven minutes with his split crab
hold after battering Sugai from pillar
to post. Lipscomb swung his fists
<iosn all angles and threatened to
,x nd Referee Elliott to the showers if
he interfered.
In the second fall both Sugai and
MBiotl attempted to pare down Lip
scomb’s roughness to something re
sembling wrestling.
As Lipsconjb
urned to heckle the official, Sugai
lashed a perfect drop-kick clear up
ever Lipacomb’s left shoulder which
■onnected with the Hoosier’s chin and
3tretched' him full length on the can-
vaa.
As Lipscomb got to his feet,
Sugai again kicked him on the but
ton to take the fall in six minutes.
As Harry awarded the fall to Sugai,
a hundred things seemed to happen
at the same time. Lipscomb slugged
the referee, who fell forward on his
'ace. The Indiana fanatic jumped on
the hapless official’s back with both
feet and the kicked him twice for
■;ood measure. Fans grabbed Elliott
and pulled him beyond the maniac’s
i-each, while other maddened fans
um.ped into the ring and took con
trol.
Carried to the dressing room, Elli
ott wt<s in no condition to continue,
so Dick Trout went out for the third
(all as substitute referee. Lipscomb,
far from having his spirits dampen-
?d by the threatening crowd, carried
on his mean tactics with wild aban
don.
After five minutes the crowd
was ready to go in after Lipscomb
but Trout beat them to it by dis
qualifying him and awarding the
MEETI
namic Italian, Ernie Pikiao, took two
straight falls from Pat O'Brien in a
wild fray.
O'Brien came out with
both fists flying, and after taking
just so much, Ernie went plumb
crazy. He dove across the ring and
hit the Boston beanster amidships and
then tackled him twics more with
prodigious rushes to take the first
fall In nine minutes.
Ernie really showed the Irishman
how to get rough in the second fall
and ended the match five minutes
later by using his famous back-
breaker.
The first one-hour match of the
triple main event program saw foxy
Thor Jensen pull a fast one—it was
one of the cleverest tricks ever seen
.on a mat. With the score one fall
apiece. Trout got an Indian death
lock/ Jensen from this position got
a double wrist lock on his opponent
and trapped him in his own hold so
that Trout looked like a big baboon
which had Just been spring noosed.

nesday, Feb. 3, as the Community

line the basis for which benefit pay
ment will be made this year. It is
expected that many farmers in the
county will be interested in this dis
cussion since with the addition of the
range program, most farmers will be
eligible for benefits on some phase of
their operations in 1937, Jenkins
stated.
Following the lunch hour and start
ing at 1:15 p. m. the use of limestone,
ground shell and commercial fertili
zers including a discussion on soil
testing and other related subjects,
will will be discussed by Dr. Stephen

irrigation will be handled during the
afternoon by Mr. King.
Following the discussion given by
the specialist on each subject time
will be provided for a general discus
sion and while the (he meetings are
not arranged especially for new set

special value to them and all farmers
of the county are urged .to be. present
at one of the meetings and present
their soil management problems as
the subjects are discussed.
