The basket dinner at one o’clock was the first event of a plearent after noon which included a program ar ranged by Beth Culver, of Bridge, Pomona Grange lecturer; speaking, horseshoe pitching and other games. Ray Gill, master of the state grange, was present from Portland and urged the passage this fall of the two state power bills and the state bank bill, all of which are sponsored by the Grange. Prof Roger Morse, of the O. S. C. extension service, talked on dairying. He urged all dairymen who have not done so to have their herds cleaned* up and freed .from Bang’s disease in fected animals. The federal indem nity law will expire next July and the farmers were urged to have af fected cattle killed while they could still collect from the government for their loss.
