American Legion Auxiliary At the regular monthly business meeting of the American Legion Auxiliary Monday evening of last week there were 16 present: Mes- dames Elizabeth Hand. Robah Robi son. Mildred McCune, Edna Kern, Mary Arnold, Dorothy Martin, Clara Hultin, Emma Shelley, Mabel Where at, Gladys Gano, Virgie Haynes, Vera Hooton, Mabel Kunz, Lydia Willey, Gladys Wheeler and guest, Mrs. Nye. It was reported at the meeting tiu.t | lhe unit will order 750 poppies this vear. Magazines for the local library will also be ordered this year, the same as last year. Mildred McCune will present the school with the cup the Auxiliary is living for citizenship work this year. The chairman list for 1936 is as iollows: membership, Mabel Kunz; .'hlld welfare, Edna Kern; hospital, 'Della Nosier; publicity, Gladys Wheeler; legislation and education of ■var orphans, Marian Lawrence; unit ictivitiea, Lenora Hunt; entertain- nent and music, Dorothy Martin and Melts Oddy; sick calls, Edna Kern; ?idac, Virgie Haynes; national de- •fenae, Maybelle Rackleff; poppy, Mary Arnold; refreshments, Virgie Haynes; Americanism, Mildred Mc Cune; community service, Gladys Gano. The Auxiliary meets the fourth Tuesday of each month to sew and is carrying out an extensive child wel fare program. Anyone eligible for membership is especially invited and will be most welcome. The next egular monthly sewing meeting will >c in the Legion Home at two p. m. ?eb. 25. The Auxiliary hasSl paid ip members and a large attendance vill be expected. Refreshments will ‘ae served.
