Sunday evening a sacred contain was given at the Presbyterian church, "The Carpenter of Nazareth.” Mias Elma Russell was at the piano and Miss Claudia Parker directed. The ladies who took part were: Caroline Schneider, Lucile Sumerlin, Mm. Georgia May Moller, Mm. Ellis De ment, Mm. Paul Breuer, Mm. ElHs Gant, Mm. Ftenner, Mm. Forest Moon, Mrs. R. Lemon, Mrs. W. H. Wilkins, Mary Hoover, Phydelias Mor ris and Katherine Hamilton. The men taking part were: Pete Knight, Rurward Dru liner, Raleigh Green, Norwood Brown, Arthur Bennett, Tom Sumerlin, Ellis Gent, Henry Schroeder and W. E. Lewellen. All who attended enjoyed the program immensely. Dave McNair made a business trip to Portland Monday. assisted in building the Arago store. Mrs. Goldie Lawrence is enjoying a visit this week with her husband from San Francisco. Mrs. Lawrence and daughter have been here some time visiting with her mother, Mrs. T. C. Robison. Mr. Lawrence came up to spend the holidays with them. Mrs. Geo. Robieon entertained as dinner guests Christmas day, Mr. and Mrs. John Hickam and children, Thurman, Priscilla and June, of Co quille, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Ferrari, Mr. and Mrs. Ostrander and little daugh ter, Mr. Robison’s brother, Jim Rob ison, from Klamath Falls, and J. Lafferty were dinenr guests of Mr. and Mm. Fred Lafferty on Christmas. Lawrence Barkiow is hauling milk on the lower river route this week for Mr. Robison, while Mr. and Mm. C. C. She is as well as could be expected. R. H. Bunn age, of Portland, arrived by train Christmas day to spend Christmas with his family and Mr. and Mm. J. L. Burtis. Mr. Burtis met him at Marshfield and he returned home the same day. Mm. Bunnage and children have been here the past week visiting with her sister and will remain for a longer visit.
