MILK IS YOUR BEST FOOD COW BELL DAIRY Bandon Made It a Farce Last Sunday's ball game closed the season. After importing four or five men for the first part of the season, Bandon came up here Sunday with only one outside player and gave so poor an exhibition that the post sea son series was called off right then. The score was 13-3 in Coquille’s fa vor. High spots in the game were home runs. Bill Fortier and “Chappie” King both made the circuit on hits that would’not have been homers in many lota, but Ding Mnlligsn socked one almost to the fence back of cen ter field.’ It landed across the drive from the diamond. The first triple play of the league season occurred in the fifth inning. The first three men for Bandon had gotten on and the bases were loaded. Otto Davis plunked a long fly into center which Gilbert caught over his shoulder while on the run, He threw to Bonne} at second in time to get O’Jay coming back, and Bonney made a perfect peg to Fortier at home, who tagged Quissenberry. The latter had left third after the ball was caught. Not satisfied with a triple Fortier threw back to second to catch Dona- hey going down ffom first, before he realized that the inning was over. Had King not got in the way of Bonney’s throw to first there would have been another triple play in the eighth. But King received the ball between the shoulders, cutting the play down to a double. King was knocked out and had to retire. Art Pulford played second for Bandon one inning. Coquille played good ball but the visiting bunch seemed to be half asleep.
