HUDSON’S DRUG STORE RIVALS THOSE OF LARGE CITIES One of the establishments which,, fçom its general appearahce and its large and varied stock, would indicate to the observant stranger the pro gressiveness of this city, is the Hud son drug store located at 466 South Taylor Street. This establishment is one that is in every way modern. • Its equipment, its efficient management and general conduct is such that it would be con sidered a down to the minute drug store in any city, and the volume of business handled by this store would compare most favorably with the leading drug establishments of the large cities of the state. A branch of the business of the store, which is exceedingly popular with physicians of this district is the ¡prescription departmerit. ; This de partment is presided over by a regis tered pharmacist, who realizes that the directions of the doctor for each individual prescription are of the ut most importance. This is realized by the physicians of the district, and in sending prescriptions to this depart ment they get the exact medicine de sired for the particular case they are prescribing for. In compiling pre scriptions this Store makes it a prac tice never to substitute any ingredi ent for that called for by the physi cian, and to be very certain .that each ingredient in the prescription is of the desired strength and purity called for by the physician. Another popular department is the one carrying cigars, cigarettes and tobacco. Here will be found every thing to please the individual taste of the smoker. This store handles all of the usual accessories to be had in a drug busi-> ness, such as perfumes, toilet arti-. cles, stationery, leather' goods, ther mos goods, fountain pens, alarm Clocks, rubber goods, candies, etc. iMr. Hudson is the representative for this district for the well known East man kodaks and films. This store always maintains a ser vice that is eminently satisfactory. The Customer will always get at this store the goods that he calls for. This establishment carries no goods known as long-shots to put off on the public. The goods carried at this drug store are all such goods as have demonstrated through test their value for their purpose. Taking it as a whole, there is no more up to date store in the city, and Mr. Hudson is one of the city’s very best citizens, who has always" been doing something for Coquille in his own way and at all times having a good word for its progress. We rec ommend that you go and see this place of business and try the service. ASHTON’S NEW $7,000 RESIDENCE SATISFIED CUSTOMERS ARE THE RULE AT THE CITY MEAT MARKET There is not a more up to date meat, market anywhere than that op erated under the name of the City Méat Market. This meat market is a source of much pleasure to the citizens of Co quille, because here they can get any kind of meat that is obtainable in the larger cities, and at the most rea sonable prices. This market carries a full line of both fresh and smoked meats of the finest quality. . ■ This market is under the personal supervisioii of O. T. Nelson, who has established a reputation of making good every assertion made by him, and can’be depended upon to do ex actly what he says. He believes in being absolutely fair with the pa trons and will not sell them goods that are .inferior in quality. This market is well arranged and is completely stocked with the above lines, and customers will not be dis appointed in looking over the goods offered here. If a place is attractive ly arranged so as to properly display the goods handled, the first impres sion of a customer, which is usually a lasting one, will be such as to re- stfttin their becoming reguar buyers. This is the case with the City Meat Market. Mr. Nelson has built up this business by his careful manner of handling the customers and treating them all right, new as well as old. Mt. Nelson is popular among a large host of the best citizens of the city. He has always been ready and willing to do his duty and when called upon has contributed freely toward the boosting and upbuilding of the city. This market conducted by him has a long line of regular cus tomers who testify, as to the fair and honest dealings they have received at this market, and this is the best that can be said of any business con cern.
