From this method of feeding the name o f "mUk-fed” Chick ens la taken and It la applied to-near ly all of the commercial fattened chickens ~ Many o f these fattening stations are located In small country towns and cities where buttermltk Is available from creameries at a vary low price, but as the supply o f this buttermilk is becoming more limited, especially In the larger, towns and d u es, thè vari- ous concentrated forma o f buttermilk are being used very extensively in fat tening poultry. Semlaolld and, con densed buttermilk are the two other forms most commonly used. In feed ing both of these products to chickens for fattening, milk is usually supplied In s more highly concentrated form than ordinary buttermilk. CO.
