    MOVIE NIGHT RETURNS
TO SAGE CENTER
BOARDMAN — Movie Night
is back at the SAGE Center in
Boardman.
“Jumanji: The Next Level” will
be screened Friday, Nov. 19, 6 p.m.
at 101 Olson Road, Boardman. The
cost is $5 per person, which in-
cludes entry, popcorn and bottled
water. Children under 5 are free.
In the 2019 release, the
gang is back but the game has
changed. The players will have to
brave parts unknown from arid
deserts and snowy mountains,
to escape the world’s most dan-
gerous game. Rated PG-13, the
fi lm stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack
Black and Kevin Hart.

GRANT COUNTY FAIR
GRAND MARSHALS
JOHN DAY — The Grant Coun-
ty Fair and Rodeo Court corona-
tion dinner is set for Saturday, Nov.
20, at the Chester’s Trowbridge
Pavilion at the fairgrounds. The
evening includes the introduction
of the 2022 grand marshals, Gibb

and Gary Gregg. Dinner is $18 or
$32 for two meals. There will be a
no-host bar and live music.
CELEBRATE ‘CHRISTMAS
ON THE PRAIRIE’ NOV. 20
PRAIRIE CITY — The 2021
“Small Town American Christmas
on the Prairie” is set for Satur-
day, Nov. 20, at various locations
around Prairie City. A 5K run
starts the day at 8 a.m. — register
at Depot Park before the start
time. At 9 a.m., the bazaar opens
at the American Legion and
Prairie City Community Center,
and the scavenger hunt begins.
Students from preschool age to
grade 6 will gather at the Legion
Hall at 10:45 a.m. for the Patriotic
Teddy Bear decorated contest.
The Veterans Flag Parade
begins at 11 a.m., followed by
a ceremony at the fl ag pole at
11:15 a.m.
There will be two snow-
man craft classes for adults, at
1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Between those
classes, at 2 p.m., local youth will
present the play “Santa and the
Naughty Gnomes” at the com-
munity center.
The scavenger hunt ends at
4 p.m., Santa arrives at 4:30 p.m.,
NOVEMBER 17�24, 2021
and the tree lighting at city park
happens at 4:30 p.m.

SYMPHONY PERFORMS IN

BAKER CITY — The Grande
Ronde Symphony will be live and
in-person on Saturday, Nov. 20,
at 1 p.m. at St. Francis de Sales
Cathedral in Baker City. Masks
will be required.
Season passes for the sym-
phony concerts are $30 adults,
$20 seniors, $2 for college
students and $1 for high school
students. Tickets at the door for
each concert are $12 adults, $10
seniors, $2 college students and
$1 for high school and middle
school students. Purchase tick-
ets online at www.granderonde-

in Baker City, or Direct Music
Source in La Grande.
ENTERPRISE — A Wallowa
County Christmas bazaar and
craft show is set for Dec. 3 and 4
at Cloverleaf Hall, 600 NW 1st St.
Hours will be 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
on Friday, and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on
Saturday. There will be drawings
each day to win $25 in Buckskin
Bucks, as well as a People’s
Choice award for two vendors
with the best booth display.
In addition to the vendor
off erings, baked potatoes, chili
and hot dogs will be available.
Vendor spaces are still avail-
able and cost $50 for a spot that
measures 10 feet by 12 feet.

land Kings acoustic trio will
play live at AJ’s Corner Brick
Bar and Grill on Friday, Nov. 19,

COVE DRAMA STUDENTS
PRESENT ‘THE MALTESE
BODKIN’
COVE — Theater students at
Cove High School will present
“The Maltese Bodkin” in three
performances: 7 p.m. on Friday,
Nov. 19, and Saturday, Nov. 20,
and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 21.
There is no admission fee, but
those planning to attend are asked

CONCERT RAISES FUNDS
FOR BOOKS FOR CHILDREN
WALLA WALLA — United Way
of the Blue Mountains is putting
on a fundraising “Sing Reunited”
concert featuring Campbell Da-
vis on Friday, Nov. 26, at Power
House Theatre, 111 N. Sixth Ave.,
Walla Walla. The proceeds from
the event support Dolly Parton’s
Imagination Library, which gives
children one free, age-appropri-
ate book per month.
Davis won the grand prize
of the Sing United Clash of the
Blue Mountain Beats competi-
tion held earlier this year. The
contest was open to musicians
from United Way of the Blue
Mountains’ service area, which
includes Umatilla, Baker, Union,
Wallowa and Grant counties.
Doors open at 5:15 p.m. and
the music begins at 6 p.m. Tick-
