A 5K run starts the day at 8 a.m. — register at Depot Park before the start time. At 9 a.m., the bazaar opens at the American Legion and Prairie City Community Center, and the scavenger hunt begins. Students from preschool age to grade 6 will gather at the Legion Hall at 10:45 a.m. for the Patriotic Teddy Bear decorated contest. The Veterans Flag Parade begins at 11 a.m., followed by a ceremony at the fl ag pole at 11:15 a.m. There will be two snow- man craft classes for adults, at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Between those classes, at 2 p.m., local youth will present the play “Santa and the Naughty Gnomes” at the com- munity center.
