At Louisville, Ky., March 30, an opinion banded down by Judge Shackelford MHler denies relief to Henry Hertle, who petitioned for the removal of dug that is buried in Cave Hill cemetery. The suit was directed agaiiist Alice Riddle, who buried "Billy Ketwbrougb." a pet fox ter'iur, in ber lot in Cave Hill. The j-iaiutiflf sought to have the body removed, alleging that it was a nuisame an J that he disliked the idea ot romc dly being buried near the cate tuut of the grave yard. A Washington, D. C. dispatch of April 15, says; According to the weather bureau, a distant earth quake of great intensity was record ed at 1:14:20 this morning. The greatest movement of the earth at Washington was secured in an east-and-west direction, aud lasted from 1:26 to 1:41, while the principal portion of the uorth-south move ment lasted until 1:31 a. m. The duration of the earthquake was more than two hours. These re cords seem to indicate an unusually violent earthquake at a distance comparable iu intensity with those which recently occurred at Valpa raiso and Kingston. The City of Mexico was visited by a severe earthquake shock about midnight, April 14th, putting out the electric lights, knocking down a few walls and splitting a street in one or two places. No fire ensued, and the damage was not great. Re ports from Oaxaca and San Juan Iiautista say conditions are about the same as at Mexico City. Vera Cruz was severely rocked. It was the heaviest earthquake in twenty' five years. A story of Hafry Thaw's dread of witnessing the death of a dog has just beeu made public In Paris, During a visit to that city, Thaw, who is a great lover of dogs, pre sented to the Gennevillers home for lost dogs its first apparatus for the painless extinction of hopelessly di seased or injured animals. Theau thorities invited him to see the ap paratus in use. Just as the mana ger was about to lead a dog into the "death chamber," Thaw turned pale and stopped. "I would rather not see it," he said, and excusing himself hurriedly left the building. The Price of Health. "The price of health iu a malari ous district is just 25 cents; the cost of a box of Dr. King'a New Life Pills," writes Ella Slayton, of No land, Ark. New Life Pills cleanse gently and impart new life and vig or to the system. 25c, Satiafse tion guaranteed by all druggists. Ranch Horses For Sale.
