The management of the Barnum A Bailey Greatest Show on Earth have an nounced that they will this season aban don tha parade and relegate it to the "things passe" of the circus. The tre mendous expense that Is incurred by the transportation of so giant an entei- P1"8 in carrying the immense parapher nalia of the show itself has handicapped thla wonderful show to such an extent that It haa been fully decided to with draw the old time, "always late" parade, and place all efforts, energies and time in the sole entertainment for the people by giving them the marvelous acts of the present age, the greatest and most wonderful that money and brains can procure. In these advanced days of cir- cusism, programs aa offered by the Bar num A Bailey Show, the stuiendous acta presented are of such magnitude and remarkable mechanism that th time taken to place them for the exhibi tions is of such value, the harrying out of the parade would in every way Inter ru : . l. .1.. . ... wiw nim ino arrangement mat are necessary for these unapproachable fea ture offering. Every man in every town during the course of a life time haa to ask a favor of an editor not an exception to this rule. A man may escape a doctor, keep clear of the courts, but once in a life time, at least, every man haa to go to the news paper to ask to have a certain piece put in a death notice, a marriage notice, etc ; to have a certain piece kept ont, or to have his name printed in or omitted from some item. It is therefore to yonr interest to treat the editor fairly. He desires to be fair, he would rather do the right than the wrong thing; bnt if you kick, the dent of it may be found in the top of yonr own bat some day and you will never know how it got there. Don't think yon are immune, or that providence haa especially favored you. Your time will com and when it does come, It will be a fine investment. If mn have a friend in tha editor's office.
