granted whenever the ri quest was of
ficially pieseiited. While such., a
right of way would be satisfactory to
the company yet for many reasons a
private right of way is preferable.
Wherefore ho would ask Ihe people

private properly. A strip 20 feet

road would be ample unless it be at
places where turnouts have to be
constructed. Mr. Win. Nelson

voted, tho doctor at his own request
to be left off, to secure a private right
of way from the Multnomah county
line westward through the county.

select and appoint the committee.-
