Laurier Government assumed power
they asked for privilege to place on

by a monopoly. In these cases they
are at a loss. Their remedy has
been applied before the disease broke
out. Home people go so far as to
blame the remedy for starting dis
ease. At any rate, the situation is
onfusing and we can haidly blame
the Government for refusing to make
further teductions In the Tariff,
their experiments having proven so
very unsatisfactory to themselves
and costly to the farmers."
