Two are now in mind, Tin (laid hill mine not far from the station now known as Central Point, and tne other the Fowler ledge ou Applegate about miles from the tint, but these were ouly "pocket ledges'' and while a mvond and third j "pocket" probably exist they have never la-en f.und. The Ashland mill is in oMratinn on ns-H quarried from a vein on Wagner creek, while there are no old time "clean ups" it is understood that the dividends are satisfactory. The real wealth of Jackson county and that part of Josephine tributary to Urania 1'ass ia stock and fruit. The grazing la fair and the fruit land is outclass. Toeier for president. He in now 1st Vice-President. The place of meeting next year was discussed, Tillamook was con sidered. It was stated that a sea voyage ou the new stisim sloop from Astoria to Tillamook, 8 hours wouiu Imj a delightful cxM'ricnee. There were objections and the time and place of meeting was left to ta tixed by the Executive committee. . A committee was appointed to re port a design for the Association badge and seal. The committee on resolutions resrted and had their work approved. The meeting ad journed though one or two commit tees were authorised to report next day on the car. The start for home was made at 2 o'clock a. m. on the 20th, only U hours having been spent in Ashland and a part of that time in sleep. As a sight seeing trip and for busi ness the meeting was the most suc cessful that has been held, and the AsMa-iallon is stronger than ever.
