Mrs. E. A. Sharp, of Williston,
N. D., who has been visiting
through the winter with her
brother, Rev, J. R. Buck, in this
city left the first of the week for
her home. There is a strong
possibility that the Sharps will
return to Oregon soon, to make
it their permanent home.

At a teachers’ and officers’
meeting held in the Congrega­
tional church Thursday evening
several young people present re­
quested additional room for class
purposes. The classes are in­
creasing in membership so rap­
idly that the congestion of space
will have to be relieved immedi­
ately.

daughter Aileen were visiting in
Portland Saturday.

Dr. G. W. Fuller, of Danville,
Illinois, is visiting this week with
Dr. E. B. Brookbank. Dr. Full­
er, who has been spending the
winter in California, for his
health, intends to locate in Port­
land.

Ethel Fo bes was absent from
school with measles last week.
Miss Freda Moore was absent
from school la$t week on account
of a business trip to Portland.
The boys are practicing for
base ball and track meet which
will be held soon.
Arbor day, April 11, will he
observed by the schools of Forest
Grove and programs will be pro­
vided.
Miss Anna Taylor made a trip
to Hillsboro Tuesday evening.
Special Meeting of City Dads.
The city council met Tuesday
evening to hoar remonstrances
to the improving of five addition­
al city blocks with hard surface
pavement. The session was held
from 7:30 to 9 p. m., and no ob­
jections being presented, the re­
corder was instructed to adver­
tise for bids for the work.
